Humanity’s Final Challenge on Earth

As the globe has shrunk and intercourse with other religions, cultures, political systems is forced on humankind, we for the first time must face decisions about how we will live together on this planet. No longer can the solution be one where the most powerful, militant philosophy be allowed to dominate us all. How will we deal with this, the most serious problem humanity has ever faced? Are we distracted by the wrong issues? While we argue about where we came from and possible natural calamities that we have no control over, why not focus on the real problem facing humanity.

It’s time to articulate rules of behavior that must be followed and behavior that is intolerable. A good place to start is with the prime directive that Jesus gave us...”Love one another as I have loved you”. It can’t get simpler than that. The founding fathers of American democracy gave us and the world a model for living with each other.

Now with religious extremists and anarchists representing no legitimate government, the whole world faces a dangerous, new situation. Swift, effective justice for these crazy killers is warranted. When government bodies such as the United Nations and US liberal with weak wills refuse to take responsibility for meeting out justice to the misfits in our world, we face a threat of gargantuan proportions. It is time to be decisive and yes......brutal with these misfits. Otherwise, where does the policy of appeasement take us?
